WHAT 2 WATCH WED #W2WW #34 #DeathComestoPemberley #Series @Netflix_CA #NowOnNetflixCA

I regularly have conversations on social media and in real life with friends and family about which TV shows, or movies are good to watch. So I thought why not share these recommendations on Cathy Thinking Out Loud once a week, on Wednesday (aka #W2WW). Please share yours in the comments section! This week I am recommending a series set in 19th century England called Death Comes to Pemberley that continues the storyline of Pride and Prejudice. Darcy and Elizabeth find themselves in the middle of a murder mystery at Pemberley. You can find this series on Netflix Canada.

Just in case you haven't seen Pride and Prejudice or you suddenly feel the need to watch it again:

Yep, just me Cathy thinking out loud about what to watch.

  1. Terrible book - not canon. I expected better from P.D. James; the series is slightly better which is not saying much. And the 2005 film really is bad. I would suggest to everybody just to read the brilliant original book and then look for the mini-series from 1980 then the lesser 1995 one

    1. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I have not read the book by P.D. James and agreed it does seem a bit out of character, but I enjoyed the show. Not saying it will win any awards but I guess I like the idea of a glimpse in to what might have happened next after the book ends. I have watched many of the movie versions and always enjoy them if only to see other people's interpretation. Agreed some are definitely better than others but have found them all to be entertaining if only for the fashion, and decor. The book is definitely a favourite of mine.

  2. I started it, but was busy cleaning, and it seemed to be a show that you need to sit and watch. What did you think of it? I'd really like to know.

    1. I really enjoyed it I h ave my fingers crossed they do another another season or mini series along the same lines. I have been enjoying a number of period series and re-watching movies lately. I hope you get a chance to get back and finish watching the series. Let me know what you think if you do.
