What to Watch?

As you all know, "What's Good to Watch?" is a common question amongst my friends and family, and the reason why I share movie and show recommendations on Cathy Thinking Out Loud every Wednesday (aka #W2WW). This week's recommendation is a fun series call Death In Paradise. You can find this and many other great shows on Netflix Canada.

In this funny British series set in the Caribbean a rather stuffy Scotland Yard Detective is sent from London to a Caribbean Island to solve a murder case. It's supposed to be a temporary assignment but turns out temporary is much longer than Detective Poole anticipated.

Five Cute Korean Series to Stream #What2Watch #W2WW @Netflix_CA

What to Watch?

As you all know, "What's Good to Watch?" is a common question amongst my friends and family, and the reason why I share movie and show recommendations on Cathy Thinking Out Loud every Wednesday (aka #W2WW). This week's recommendations are five Korean Soap Operas or SitComs to stream. (FYI - Subtitles) You'll find all of these on Netflix Canada.

Coffee Prince
Its Okay, That's Love
Good Doctor
Cunning Single Lady
Goddess of Marriage

While superficially the storylines appear to be quaint love stories, I found they all gave me insight in to a different culture, stereotypes, and class, gender, and generation gaps that continue to exist in cultures around the world, which in turn gave me some interesting food for thought. I would love to hear your thoughts on this weeks recommendations,

What to Watch?

This week's recommendations are The Fosters and Switched at Birth two series about family tweens and teens, which you can find on Netflix Canada.

Although maybe not a true reflection of any teens I know including my two teen boys, I none the less really enjoyed both series.

What to Watch! 

As you all know, "What's Good to Watch?" is a common question amongst my friends and family, and the reason why I share movie and show recommendations on Cathy Thinking Out Loud every Wednesday (aka #W2WW). This week's recommendation is Rectify found on Netflix Canada.

The characters in this series are diverse and complex, and they are sure to make you think and maybe rethink your views on life, faith, and justice. The acting is outstanding! The slow pace of the first episode gives you a feel for the characters and pace of small town life in the south. Don't let that fool you, the plot thickens, and suspense builds with each episode. Note: This is not a series for the kids, due to the subject matter.
