FOOD FOR THOUGHT: WORTH THE READ APR 11, 2014 #WeDay #FreetheChildren

I read interesting informative posts and articles about business, social media, marketing, networking, and the like all the time. I'm a bit of a junkie when it comes to this type of thing. So I thought I would share at least one said post or article every Friday, and maybe send you into your weekend with some food for thought. I was privileged enough to attend National We Day in Ottawa on April 9th, 2014 and want to share with you of what this day is all about, and what Free the Children aims to do.

Yep, just me Cathy thinking out loud about Friday Feature: Worth the Read.

You can find my posts about National We Day 2014 here:

  1. Wow, I did not know the story of how Free the Children began. What a courageous young man who left us too soon.

  3. Free the Children and Me to We are important charities to me and ones I have been involved in for almost 10 years. It's great that you are featuring them and raising awareness for what they do.

    1. Thanks for read and commenting Jennifer. I figure others might me like me and more likely to read it if it is gathered and packaged in one place then sharing them all separately. It is usually not about whether they want to read, and more about having the time to find posts to read. Glad you liked it! :-)

  5. I have yet to be involved with Me to We and I have wanted to get involved with my daughter for a couple of years. They used to do this as an event at school. They used to take all the grade sixes to the Me to We day and then they stopped. I think that's really too bad. I would have attended with her. I think I might still take her with me one day. It's important to see that children have power and can make real change in the world.

    1. Oh Paula you must take her! It is amazing and I think unlikely to leave you or your daughter unchanged.
